Mousehole (pronounced Mowzel) is one of Cornwall's most picturesque hamlets with a small and very safe beach in the sheltered part of the harbour. A few hundred yards along the coast of the village lies a huge cave which, so some people say, gives rise to the name of the village - mouse hole! This painting is the view looking out from the harbour towards St Michael’s Mount at low tide when the shallow water is a beautiful aqua green. The colourful boats are moored to the harbour wall – some of their ropes submerged beneath the yellow sand. There are lovely feathery clouds in the light blue sky – a perfect summer’s day. This painting is on a narrow canvas with painted sides and is ready to hang or can be framed. It comes with a Certificate of Authenticity which has been signed by the artist.
