Details

Mevagissey is a fishing harbour in Cornwall named after two Irish saints, St Meva and St Issey. The village dates back to at least 1313 but it was during the 1800s that Mevagissey prospered on the back of the abundant source of pilchards out to sea. This picturesque village still has a working harbour although it also caters to the tourist trade offering fishing trips to visitors. This colourful painting is on a narrow canvas with painted sides and is ready to hang or can be framed. It is also available as a mounted giclee print.
